Dr. Paul Frank worked as a volunteer theater doctor at the State Opera. Born into a Jewish family in 1867 in Staßfurt, he rose to the rank of Prussian Medical Councilor and served from 1913 to 1930 as the medical director of the municipal emergency services in Berlin and as a member of the Reich Health Council.
He lived at Potsdamer Straße 121 until his dismissal in 1933. From 1934 onwards, he no longer appears in Berlin address books, suggesting that he may have emigrated before it was too late. No details are known about the course of his later life.
